Attendance

Attendance Office: 360-874-1404

Regular attendance is vital to the quality of a student's education. Parents are the key in establishing and maintaining punctual, regular attendance habits. South Kitsap High School has specific attendance policies listed in the student handbook; parents are encouraged to review these policies with their students.

If a student is kept home due to illness, the attendance office should be notified as soon as possible. An automated phone system will call home if notification has not been received at the attendance office.

Physicians advise that a student be fever-free 24 hours before resuming normal activity. Parents/guardians must provide a written explanation/excuse for a student to take to school the day he/she returns from an absence. Students should check with teachers via email and google classrooms for work assignments. Parents may request that their student's teacher(s) provide makeup assignments to prevent the student from falling behind in their classes. Homework requests are processed at the Main Office (360-874-5600).

South Kitsap High School is a closed campus. Students are not allowed to leave the school campus during school hours without a note from their parent/guardian and clearance from the attendance office.
