INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES & FRIENDS

1.
Doors open to the audience at 6:00 p.m. There is NO reserved seating. Prior to graduation, ask your graduate where he/she will be seated. This will allow you to plan ahead for optimal viewing of your graduate. Have a designated location to meet up after the ceremony.

2. Safety and Security: Everyone will go through metal detectors and bags will be searched.  Bag size limitation is 13” x 15” backpacks of any size are NOT permitted!

3. You are encouraged to bring only essential items with you. If you can avoid bringing a bag it will speed up your entry to the facility. If you must bring a bag and have a clear bag, similar to those used at other large venues, use that. The more items to inspect, the slower the process is for EVERYONE.

4. Avoid taking a trip back to your car and leave items on the prohibited items list at home. Examples include: weapons of any kind (this includes pocket knives), noise makers, backpacks, balloons, laser pointers, signs etc.

5. The graduates’ section will be cordoned off. No one else will be allowed to approach this area.

6. Public Entry Doors:  upper A and upper C.

7. Handicap accessible seating:  disabled seating is at the top of each section in the lower bowl.  Per Tacoma Dome policy, a guest using a wheelchair and (1) attendant may  enter through the lower A (NW) corner handicap entrance, and will take the elevator to get up to the concourse level where they have the choice of sides that they would like to sit on. Other family members line up and enter at the upper A or upper C entry doors.

8. Hearing impaired guests: ASL interpreters will be provided. Please plan to arrive early to sit in view of the interpreters location.
