Dan Ericson

Coach Ericson has been a Teacher in the Central Kitsap School District for 18 years (General Education grades 2-8, PE grades 6-12, Language Arts & Geography grades 7-8). Coach Ericson graduated from Shelton High School where he participated in football, basketball and baseball. He took his talents to Central Washington University where he played both Baseball and Golf. His current role at Klahowya Secondary School is Dean of Students for grades 6-12 and Middle School Athletic Director. He spent the previous 8 years as the Head Football Coach at Klahowya, prior to that he spent 4 years as an Assistant Football Coach at Olympic HS, 3 years as Fastpitch Coach at Klahowya, 4 years as Assistant Boys Basketball Coach, 9 years as Girls Golf coach at Olympic HS, and one year as Head Baseball Coach at Klahowya. Coach Ericson and his wife Amanda, SKHS class of 93, have been married for 19 years and have two children; Nathan and Emma. His wife Amanda is a 3rd grade teacher at Pine Crest Elementary.  In his non-coaching time, Coach Ericson enjoys spending time with family and playing golf. 


Dustin Booth
Coach Booth was hired by the South Kitsap School District in 2004 and currently works in the Information Technology Services Department as an IT Specialist. He began his coaching career in 2004 and continued through the 2017 season. Coach Booth has coached Football at South Kitsap High School for 16 years under DJ Sigurdson, Eric Canton, Gavin Kralik, Cory Vartanian and now Dan Ericson. Coach Booth has coached Wide Receivers, Defensive Backs, and Linebackers and was the Defensive Coordinator in 2015 and 2016. He now serves the Wolves football team as the Offensive Coordinator. In the past, he has also coached wrestling and served as the Co-Head Boys Golf Coach. Coach Booth graduated from South Kitsap in 1999 where he played both Football and Baseball for 3 years and went on to play football at Central Washington University for two seasons. Coach Booth and his wife Schayna, a SK Grad 1997 and Teacher at Mullenix Ridge Elementary, have been married for 14 years and have three children; Jesse and Jenna (11, twins) and Bryce (6.) His hobbies include spending time with family, traveling, golfing and boating at Lake Cushman.

Kevin Darcey
Coach Darcey is a PE Teacher at John Sedgwick Middle School and JV Baseball Coach at South Kitsap High School. Coach Darcey has coached Football at John Sedgwick MS for 17 years, 10 years as Head Coach. He has also been a volunteer football coach for 5 years at South Kitsap HS. Coach Darcey graduated from SKHS in 1991 and played Football from 1988-1990. His wife Kimberly also graduated from SKHS in 1991 and they have two children; Kennedy a Junior and Cole a Freshman, both at SKHS. His hobbies include coaching sports, golfing and hunting. 

Ben Johnson
Coach Johnson currently works at South Kitsap High School as a Paraeducator and is going to school for his Master’s in Teaching and hopes to teach Biology and Physical Education at the high school level soon. Coach Johnson graduated from SKHS in 2014, earning a 3.85 GPA and later graduating from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology. In high school, Coach Johnson admits to being significantly overweight, but pushed himself physically and mentally in the weight room and on the track to better himself and by his senior year he started on the offensive line for most of the season. After the season ended, he was able to lose over 100lbs in less than a year and has continued to keep most of it off. Coach Johnson has 4 years of volunteer coaching experience at SKHS for football and has been influential in the Strength and Conditioning program. He is also a Strength and Conditioning coach at Dungeon Fitness.

Mike Johnson
Coach Johnson was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and has earned a Masters’ Degree in History from Portland State University.  Coach Johnson has coached high school football for 17 seasons, 11 of which as Defensive Coordinator at Newport High School in Newport, Oregon.   During that time, Newport High made state playoff appearances in 8 consecutive seasons and won 2 league championships.  Coach Johnson currently works as a History teacher at Cedar Heights Middle School and was the South Kitsap High School C-Team Head Coach during the 2018 season.  He has also taught college-level History courses for active members of the United States Coast Guard through Vincennes University.   In his spare time, Coach Johnson enjoys traveling and has spent three years of his life living overseas.

Keith Langholff
Coach Langholff is a Science Teacher at Bremerton High School. Coach Langholff has coached many sports throughout his teacher career, including Assistant Football Coach and Wrestling coach at both Bremerton High School and Klahowya Secondary School. Coach Langholff has been an assistant under Coach Ericson for the last 7 seasons at Klahowya. Coach Langholff is married to his wife Amy, and they have two boys and reside in Port Orchard. Coach Langholff hobbies include fishing, kayaking and traveling.

Marcus Logue
Coach Logue serves as the Dean of Students for the Senior class at SKHS. He has coached Football at South Kitsap High School for three years under DJ Sigurdson and Eric Canton. Coach Logue worked with defensive backs and wide receivers. Coach Logue served as Defensive Coordinator in the fall of 2013. Coach Logue has been the Head Baseball Coach at South Kitsap High School for 6 years, after 1 year serving as an assistant coach in the program. During Coach Logue’s tenure as Baseball coach, the Wolves have amassed 99 wins, a 4A State Title (2015), two WIAA 4A 2nd Place finishes (2013, 2014) and a West Central District Title in 2015.Coach Logue completed his degree from Washington State University and finished his student teaching here at SKHS. Coach Logue loves his time off the field with his wife Natalie and his daughter Nora.

Ryan Lund
Coach Lund was born in Seattle, raised in North Seattle and Tacoma, but moved to Kitsap County in 1991. Coach Lund was home schooled during his scholastic career, meanwhile played multiple sports in the Central Kitsap School District. Although he played at CKHS, his family has a long history in South Kitsap. Both grandparents and multiple relatives attended and played sports for South Kitsap, with his grandfather playing on the 1950 State Championship basketball team for SKHS. Coach Lund is very passionate about giving back to our youth while supporting several non-profit groups and has been heavily involved in Athletics in our Youth Community for the last 12 years, currently serving as the President of the South Kitsap Pee Wee Association and 1st Vice President of the Kitsap County Pee Wee Association. Coach Lund and his junior high sweetheart, Belen, have three children; Alona (22) a 2014 SK Grad who currently attends Eastern Washington University; Angelyko (17) and Ravyn (14) who are a senior and freshman respectively at SKHS. Coach Lund and his family love taking road trips, eating great food, and enjoy experiencing new places.

Joseph Outhwaite
Coach Outhwaite started his Teaching career 18 years ago at Marcus Whitman Middle School. Six years ago, he moved up to SKHS and is now the Social Studies Department Chairman and teaches US History, CWP, and Government. Throughout his career, he has coached Football and Basketball at the middle school level and Basketball at the high school level. He also coaches his son's traveling Basketball team and various other youth sports programs throughout the community. Coach Outhwaite and his wife Mindi, a Registered Nurse, have three boys; Trey (12); Tyce (10); and Tate (8) who are all enrolled in our school district. When they are not coaching or participating in sports, they love to travel around the Pacific Northwest to go fishing, camping and boating. 

Alex Pfeiffer
Coach Pfeiffer is a Math/PE teacher at Cedar Heights Middle School and is in his 4th year of coaching football for SKHS and 9th year coaching varsity football overall. Prior to moving to the Kitsap Peninsula, Coach Pfeiffer coached varsity football for the Everett, Edmonds and Quillayute School Districts. He is also currently coaching football for Cedar Heights Middle School. Along with football, Coach Pfeiffer has been a basketball, golf and swim coach. He is married to Shanelle, an Instructional Specialist for Secondary Special Education, and they have three little girls; Elly and Audrey (4, twins); and Mya (1). His is excited about the new season as it will bring new opportunities. He enjoys helping our student-athletes grow and develop skills that they can use in life and on the field.
